Go Ultra Low
The "Go Ultra Low" campaign was a joint UK government and automotive industry initiative designed to promote electric vehicle (EV) adoption. It featured an AI app developed by Voxly Digital.
Voiced by Go Ultra Low ambassador, broadcaster, writer and adventurer Ben Fogle, the app answers over 50 commonly-asked questions about electric vehicles – covering questions on costs, charging and range, and outlying the different customer benefits. Consumers will be able to access the Electric Vehicles App via Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant by asking “Alexa, open Electric Vehicles” or saying “okay Google, open Electric Vehicles”.
Key Aspects of the Initiative:
- Purpose: The campaign provided information to help consumers and fleets understand the benefits of plug-in vehicles.
- Voxly Voice AI App: Launched in 2020, the app provided interactive, voice-driven insights on charging, range, and costs.
- Partnership: It was supported by the UK government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and car manufacturers.
BMW UK
For the first time, BMW have created an Alexa Skill that allows you to hear about a car before it arrives.
The new BMW 3 Series is alive with technology, designed to provide a personalised driving experience and connect you like never before.
To get started, say “Alexa, enable BMW 3 series experience". The skill will ask you questions to guide you through your preview of the car. You can also ask questions throughout the experience, as well as register to receive updates.
Learn about the design, technology, or performance and models available before the car arrives. Thanks to voice technology, you’ll experience an upcoming car like never before.
